Following his father’s accidental drowning while chasing aliens into Galloper’s Lake, Billy Quirk's widowed and delusional mother Marion announces she has had another of her heavenly visions: her only son is destined for greatness. All he has to do is go out in the world and find out what it is he's great at.
If you've ever found yourself feeling left out, naïve, confused, sitting in your bedroom window staring up at the moon when you should have been in bed asleep, or caught up in the craziness of the world and trying to make sense of it all, you and Billy Quirk have a lot in common.
And that's a good thing. Because, even though Billy lives in a world that seems to be on permanent tilt, he has a good sense of direction and a very big heart. His destiny can't be that far off.
Unfortunately, he’ll have to go through a kangaroo court to find out.
